Angie Morgan and Courtney Lynch (http://www.sonshi.com/leadstar.html) of Lead Star will be on "FOX & Friends" Monday morning (tomorrow!), March 5th between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. EST. They will discuss the importance of celebrating leadership during Women's History Month.

As you know, I'm a strong advocate for supporting women to become better leaders. Sun Tzu's Art of War is a great book for women as it is for men. From our moms on, women have always been leaders in our lives. More and more they are also our executives, politicians, and perhaps soon, President.

Keep up the good work, Angie and Courtney!

I agree completely, Sonshi ... and the world is changing, for the better, as women take on more leadership roles ... Tom Peters had a blog recently where he commented on the recent Academy Awards, and how images of women as "babes" are being replaced with images of women as leaders.

Wahoo!

Thanks for the Tom Peters reference, TBD. Of course you probably know Tom is a Vietnam War veteran and was tremendously influenced by the late Col. John Boyd, who himself was an avid proponent of Sun Tzu's Art of War.

My admiration for women comes not only from their beauty but also their natural ability to lead. A very effective combination! It is no wonder Napoleon and Mark Anthony were so mesmerized by Joséphine and Cleopatra, respectively. I am married to a woman who has a similar effect on me. As we observe our tenth wedding anniversary this year, I can’t imagine life without her.

Angie and Courtney got it right when they said women shouldn't act like men when they lead; they just need to be themselves. This by far is the best advice anyone can give to young women. There’s wisdom in a woman’s “intuition” as I refer to my wife a lot for her thoughts on people and circumstances. Arguably, the female tendency allows for caretaking and choosing benevolence over destruction. I've personally seen them display more courage and discipline than most men I know. How fascinating since all those attributes no doubt conform to Sun Tzu's leadership principles.

In summary, women have always been leaders; more of them just need to be recognized. With time -- the current trend shows sooner than later, as TBD and Tom Peters observed -- they will be. Brava to women leaders everywhere! Happy Women's History (http://www.nwhp.org/aboutnwhp/index.php) month for y’all and I hope you continue to raise our consciousness and keep us men in line. :)

Women don't need to learn strategy, they are born with the complete picture. "Behind every strong man is a strong woman" most successful men have a strong woman behind them, and these women seldom take the credit, and take the flack when things go wrong.

Women are the epitome of strategy

Imagine for one moment that the world is governed by just women. Now, tell me whether we would be better or worse off? Be honest. My sincere response is we would likely be better off; we would most certainly be happier. Poor leaders consist primarily of angry, insecure, stubborn men. Get a clue guys. You make us ALL look bad! :)
