![]() Penn State senior John Urschel, left, who earned his mathematics degree in May with a 4.0 GPA (earned in just 3 years), enjoys being around his teammates. But he used the time between football camp sessions in other ways. The 6-foot-3 offensive lineman sprawled onto his air mattress and read the “The Art of War.” Math dominates many of his thoughts. His research focuses on using equations to solve real world problems. He has entered a masters program and will spend two years working closely with Penn State professor Jinchao Xu, one of the world’s top mathematicians. “We don’t usually take masters students,” Jinchao said in a telephone interview from China. “All of our students are going for their PhDs. But he knows what he’s doing. Finishing undergraduate work in three years and being on the football team says a lot about him. I’m looking forward to working more and more with him.” Read more here: http://www.centredaily.com/2012/07/0...n-urschel.html

I hope him great success in all of his endeavors.
He had/has several individuals that pour time and energy into his life -- including himself. Those are valuable assets to possess which lead to a success-driven mindset. |

Thanks Sheepdog, he seems to be someone who has found endeavors that match his interests and strengths. Sometimes people are pushed into things they don't want to do, and thus, are not good at.
