The general needs to be able to tell when advantages are exploitable and when they are potential traps. Advantages are fragile and time sensitive events that can save lives and resources if they are seized.

i dont agree with that statement. I think oppurtunities should be exploited...but not in conventional ways...especially in competetive situations. all war is deception
